Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD)
Originally from northern California, Dave is a retired Marine. For over 27 years he served in a variety of climes and places, including as a Presidential Command Pilot (Marine One), college director, and college dean of academics.
Since moving to Greenbrier County, he has been heavily involved in community service: president of the Western Greenbrier Rotary Club; president of the Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia’s Standing Committee; chairman of the Greater Greenbrier Valley Long-Term Recovery Committee; Diocesan representative to the West Virginia Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (WV VOAD); WV VOAD’s representative to the National VOAD’s Long-Term Recovery Group committee; and a number of other non-profit boards of directors. He currently serves on the Appalachia Service Project’s Community Advisory Council and his diocese’ Standing Committee.
