Jeff Nehr

Jeff Nehr has more than 35 years of combined work experience with the Hope Gas, Peoples Natural Gas and Equitable Gas companies, specializing in Pipeline Hydraulic Design, Gas Supply and Gas Measurement, Marketing, and Corporate Development. Jeff has held positions of Manager, Director and Vice President of Commercial Operations and Senior Vice President Gas Supply and Corporate Development.  He has focused his energies on increasing producer and customer opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and managing a progressive team focused on marketing, producer services, gas supply and gas measurement. 

In 2022, Jeff’s started with Hope Gas as SVP Gas Supply and Business Development.  He is now the SVP of Corporate Development, reflecting his current role leading the sales, marketing and government affairs teams.  He is also directly involved with Hopes’ larger-scale commercial, industrial and institutional development projects including data centers projects in Ohio and West Virginia.  Jeff’s key accomplishments include project developer of 21 MW Airport Microgrid, Allegheny Health Network Wexford Hospital Combined Cooling Heat and Power Plant and Allegheny County District Steam Plant.  Jeff is also leading the Residential Fuel Cell Program with WATT Fuel Cells creating efficient, environmentally responsible power systems for residential homes.  Jeff is also leading the efforts on Renewable Natural Gas and Hydrogen initiatives at Hope.

Jeff is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.  He was a member of the Marcellus Shale Coalition, Renewable Natural Gas Coalition and American Gas Association. 

Jeff has volunteered his time to Miracle League Baseball, an organized baseball league for special needs children and adults, as a coach.   Jeff is also a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh XXXIV.
